HSL Ticket Inspectors Trial Bodycams
A pilot project by the Helsinki Regional Transport Authority (HSL) will have some ticket inspectors wearing bodycams to improve safety while checking tickets.
"Safety is extremely important to us. Therefore, any means that can be used to try to improve the safety of passengers and staff are at least worth considering.
HSL's ticket inspection unit chief Satu Koskinen stated that various organisations have reported reduced risks and positive user experiences with body cameras.
- The trial will last approximately three months, starting on Wednesday.
- If successful, bodycams could become a permanent part of ticket inspectors' daily work.
