Jaron Ennis Destroys Uisma Lima In One Round
Philadelphia favourite Jaron 'Boots' Ennis began life at 154 pounds in impressive fashion, blasting away Uisma Lima in just one round.
Ennis hurt the once-beaten Angolan early and refused to let him off the hook, eventually stopping him at 1:58 of the opening session.
Headlining in the Xfinity Mobile Arena, Ennis was determined to leave his hometown crowd happy with a display of strength in the super-welterweight class.
A blitzing right uppercut started the destruction, with Lima unable to recover from the blow.
Ennis displayed levels, using the Portuguese puncher as target practice, exposing Lima's technical limitations.
Tougher tests await down the road, but this was a dream division debut, done and dusted in less than two minutes.
