Philadelphia Medical Examiner Reaffirms Ellen Greenberg's Stabbing Death as Suicide

The Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office has issued a report reaffirming its ruling that Ellen Greenberg's 2011 stabbing death was a suicide.

Greenberg, 27, was found with 20 stab wounds in her apartment on January 26, 2011. The Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Lindsay Simon, stated that Greenberg could have inflicted the injuries on herself, citing no signs of struggle or intruder at the scene.

The report also corroborates Greenberg's fiancé's alibi, placing him at the gym at the time of her death, supported by surveillance video, keycard swipes, and other evidence.

The family's attorney called the report "an embarrassment."

The reaffirmed ruling comes after years of controversy and calls for change.
