The Diocese of Lexington, Kentucky, has developed a plan to make all its buildings net-zero by 2030, inspired by Pope Francis' 2015 encyclical Laudato Si'.
The plan includes all properties in 50 counties, spanning 59 parishes in central and eastern Kentucky.
The earth and all in it belongs to God.
This initiative is a response to Pope Francis' call to engage in dialogue about the future of the planet, acknowledging environmental challenges.
Author's summary: Diocese of Lexington aims for net-zero by 2030.
