Windows 10 support ends on October 14, 2025, but users can extend its lifespan with the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program.
Microsoft offers a $30 ESU subscription for those who want to continue receiving updates without linking a Microsoft account.
- Users in the EU can get free Windows 10 ESU with a Microsoft account.
- Users outside the EU need to sync Settings to OneDrive in addition to having a Microsoft account.
- In the US, users can also use 1,000 Microsoft Rewards points to sign up for Windows 10 ESU.
Users can extend Windows 10 support by clicking “Enroll now” on the Windows Update page.
