Truck Parking Information System Unveiled on I-5
Quarterhill, a provider of intelligent transportation system services, and the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) have launched a new truck parking information management system.
This $2.3 million initiative aims to help truck drivers find available parking at rest areas along Interstate 5, addressing a major challenge in the freight industry: secure and reliable truck parking.
By improving visibility into available spaces, the technology helps reduce fatigue-related risks and supports safer, more efficient freight movement across Washington state.
- The initial deployment covers the I-5 corridor from Vancouver, Wash., to the Canadian border.
