Human Interest Staff Share Tips on Managing Midterm Stress

As midterm season is in full swing at Ohio University, students are experiencing a range of emotions. The human interest staff offers advice on how to relieve stress during this period.

“To make midterm season as stress-free as possible, I schedule five assignments and study sessions I want to do every day,”
said Madison Peters, a freshman studying journalism.
“Then, when my to-do items are done, I allow myself to decompress and take some free time to myself, even if I have other work I need to do for the week. This allows me to feel in control of my schedule and prevents burnout.”

Another student, Emma Snyder-Lovera, a senior studying media arts production, recommends taking short walks while studying to relieve stress.

“I think going on short walks while studying is a great way to relieve stress,”
said Emma Snyder-Lovera.
“Cool air helps reset the nervous system and get you back into a calm mindset.”
