The Army has announced plans to install small commercial nuclear reactors on 9 bases by 2028 as part of Project Janus.

said Jeff Waksman, principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Energy and Environment. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll stated that nuclear power is part of the military's effort to explore more sustainable energy sources for large-scale conflicts.
