Arkansas Basketball Coach John Calipari Assesses Team's Progress
Arkansas men's basketball coach John Calipari expressed that his team has "a ways to go" to meet expectations.
"I’m not going to say it was a debacle, but what would be the next word up from debacle? I got a good group, but we’ve got a ways to go to be what people think we’re going to be."
The team, ranked No. 14 in the Associated Press preseason poll, will play additional scrimmages against Cincinnati and Memphis to prepare for a challenging nonconference schedule, including a test against No. 22 Michigan State.
The season opens at home on November 1.
