Hank Beatty Earns Midseason All-American Honors
Illinois wide receiver Hank Beatty has been named a Sporting News Midseason All-American and added to the Biletnikoff Award watch list.
Beatty is having a standout season, ranking fourth nationally and second in the Big Ten in receiving yards with 617, and 10th in the nation in all-purpose yards at 812.
- Caught 39 passes in seven games
- Contributed to Illinois' 5-2 record against the fourth toughest schedule in the nation
- Noted for his versatility, being the only player in the country with a passing, rushing, receiving, and punt return touchdown this season
