UK's First Solar Subscription Service Launches in Scotland
Sunsave, the UK's first authorized solar subscription service, has expanded into the Scottish market.
The London-based business has partnered with Edinburgh-based Snugg, a home energy plan business, to offer personalized energy plans that include solar savings estimates from Sunsave.
- Customers across England and Wales have seen net savings of over £685 a year on energy bills.
- Most customers' savings exceed their subscription cost, with fixed monthly payments starting at £69 per month and no upfront installation cost.
The company claims significant savings for its customers, making solar energy more accessible.
The expansion follows a £113m funding round last month to scale the service, and comes as Scotland has seen growth in residential solar take-up, with over 5% of households installing panels since the Home Energy Scotland grant and loan launched in 2017.
