Roberts Bakery Saved, Over 400 Jobs Secured
Roberts Bakery's parent company, Frank Roberts & Sons Limited, has been saved by Boparan Private Office, a private investment enterprise owned by entrepreneur Ranjit Singh Boparan.
The investment has resulted in the creation of a new company, Roberts Bakery 1887 Ltd, securing 433 jobs at the historic bakery business.
Roberts Bakery 1887 Ltd will be part of the Boparan Private Office portfolio, benefiting from the backing and expertise of a strong and diverse enterprise with established interests in the bakery sector.
The news comes after Roberts Bakery announced it was preparing to enter administration earlier this month, following restructuring announcements that put hundreds of jobs at risk.
The investment from Boparan Private Office has saved the company from administration.
