UK Leads Polar Climate Change Research as US Withdraws
The UK's flagship polar research vessel, RRS Sir David Attenborough, is set to embark on a journey to Antarctica to support numerous climate change-related science projects.
Operated by the British Antarctic Survey (BAS), the state-of-the-art ship will facilitate research on various topics, including underwater tsunamis, glacier melt, and whale populations.

BAS oceanographer Peter Davis expressed regret over the US withdrawal from scientific exploration in the region, calling it "a shame".
