The Hillsdale volleyball team had a successful trip to Kentucky, sweeping both its games against Kentucky Wesleyan College and Thomas More University.
The team won all three sets against Kentucky Wesleyan, starting with a 25-18 victory in the first set after overcoming a slow start to take an 11-5 lead.
In the second set, the Chargers trailed initially but rallied to win 25-21. The third set was closely contested, with each team trading the lead until the Panthers took a 23-22 advantage.
The following week, the Chargers suffered a 3-0 defeat from rival University of Findlay on Oct. 10 but bounced back to beat Tiffin University the next day, improving their overall record to 6-7 and 4-3 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
