Festival Bodies Unite to Support Large-Scale Events
An organisation that counts BBC Proms and Edinburgh International Book Festival among its members is to join forces with a body dedicated to representing the independent music sector.
The British Arts Festivals Association (BAFA) and Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) have signed a pact agreeing to combine their expertise on Britain’s annual arts and culture showcases.
- BAFA members include BBC Proms and Edinburgh International Book Festival
- AIF members include Boardmasters, a five-day festival in Cornwall
to “grow and support” arts festivals in the UK
This partnership aims to help large-scale arts festivals navigate inflationary pressures and share resources.
