Hinds Community College Foundation Recognizes Scholarship Recipients
The Hinds Community College Foundation held a reception on September 19 at the Muse Center on the Rankin Campus to recognize 2025-26 scholarship recipients, donors, and other honorees.
Among the recipients were Makalia Alexander of Vicksburg, who received the Dr. Mary Etta Naftel Endowed Scholarship, Joany Jenkins of Crystal Springs, who received the Jerry Agent and Mary Etta Naftel Academic Endowed Scholarship, and Johnathan Stokes of Jackson, who received the Charles Jones Technical Endowed Scholarship.
The recipients were joined by Luke and Deborah Purvis of Raymond and Jerry Agent of Raymond at the reception.
The Hinds Community College Foundation will award over 800 scholarships during the 2025-26 academic year, with a deadline to apply for fall 2025 set for February.
