Jaylen Brown's status for Celtics' season opener unclear, but considered day-to-day

Jaylen Brown's Status for Season Opener Unclear

Jaylen Brown left the Celtics' preseason finale early due to a hamstring injury. However, the injury doesn't appear to be a long-term concern.

Brown wasn't a full participant at the Celtics' first practice after the injury, but the team doesn't seem too concerned about his health.

Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla said Brown is "day-to-day" with the hamstring injury.

Mazzulla added that Brown "was able to do everything but the live stuff" at Friday's practice. However, Mazzulla didn't share what Brown's availability will be for Wednesday's regular-season opening matchup against the 76ers.

Mazzulla said, "I expect him to be at his best every single day, then we'll kind of take it from there. Just one day at a time."

Author's summary: Jaylen Brown's status uncertain for season opener.
