The Galax Maroon Tide has announced the cancellation of their remaining 2025 football season games.
The decision was made due to a low number of interested players and a high number of player injuries, according to a statement from the school.
- The team had a record of 0-5 coming into this week.
- Their most recent game was a 49-19 loss to Fort Chiswell.
- Galax had already forfeited two games this season, against Graham and Radford.
The school looks forward to building a rock-solid foundation when they return to the gridiron in 2026.
