Bank of Nova Scotia is cutting jobs across its Canadian banking division to boost long-term profitability.
Changes at the bank announced “over the last few weeks” are designed “to prioritize only those activities that drive the most meaningful impact for our business,”
Aris Bogdaneris, leader of the division, said in a memo to staff. He acknowledged the difficulty of the transformation, especially when it means saying goodbye to valued colleagues, but didn't specify the number of roles being cut.
