Groups that support older Coloradans have increased their efforts to help individuals avoid losing money to innovative and effective cyber criminals.
Recently, 78-year-old Rob Horton from Denver took a class on how to avoid getting scammed, aware that as an older Coloradan, he is a prime target.
Baby Boomers and earlier generations lose billions of dollars annually to financial scams, with Coloradans logging nearly 15,000 complaints in the FBI's 2024 Elder Fraud report, ranking 17th in the nation.
