Chase Capes and Lily Bressette Win LKSSAA Senior Cross-Country Titles

Chase Capes, a Grade 11 student at Patrick's, aims to maintain his perfect record. He has won four times this fall, including the senior boys' race at the LKSSAA cross-country championship.

So far, I’m undefeated and hopefully keeping that until OFSAA. I’ll see what happens at SWOSSAA.

Capes completed the six-kilometre course in 20:19, despite battling bad cramps, and won by one minute 39 seconds over teammate Ryan Ladouceur. He is a two-time OFSAA track and field gold medallist and won a silver at the Canadian youth track and field championships.

Capes credits his track workouts for his success this fall, noting that last year's lack of summer training negatively impacted his performance. Author summary: Chase Capes wins LKSSAA title.
