A widespread Amazon Web Services (AWS) server error caused a disruption to the schoolwide Canvas platform, lasting nearly 15 hours.
The outage, which began around 3:00 a.m. and ended around 6:00 p.m., blocked students from accessing assignments and class materials.
"I have assignments due tomorrow that I had planned out time in my schedule to do today, but because they're on Canvas and Canvas isn't working, I can't do them,"
said Anahata McCallum-Moore (27Ox), expressing frustration about the outage's impact on her ability to manage assignments.
Many students, like McCallum-Moore, felt stressed about not being able to do their work due to the outage.
