Castlebar Wall Rebuilt After Storm Damage
A wall in Castlebar, which was damaged during Storm Éowyn, has been rebuilt by an outside contractor nine months later.
The wall, located between Áras an Chontae and the car park at Mayo University Hospital, was deemed unsafe for council staff to rebuild due to health and safety reasons.
Cllr Ger Deere questions how the rules apply differently to the block layer that completed the wall, when council staff have constructed much larger scale projects in the county with little issue.
