According to a new study by Chill Insurance, Leitrim has only 55 registered electric vehicles and two public chargers, making it the least EV-friendly county in Ireland.
Other counties that ranked near the bottom include Longford and Clare, with 92 and 418 registered EVs, respectively. In contrast, the national trend shows a 29% increase in EV registrations compared to the same period last year.
The county registered only 22 electric vehicles by April of this year, accounting for less than 10% of the 264 vehicles registered in total during that period.
