Cyclone Montha Alert
The Indian Coast Guard has reached out to fishermen at sea, advising them to return to shores or nearest harbours immediately due to the impending Cyclone Montha.
A fresh Low Pressure Area formed over the Bay has become Well Marked and is expected to intensify into Depression and Cyclonic Storm 'Montha' on October 27, bringing heavy rains to North coastal and North Interior districts of Tamil Nadu and some Cauvery delta region districts till Tuesday.
In other news, a road accident in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh resulted in the deaths of 19 bus passengers and a motorcyclist when a private bus caught fire after hitting a motorcycle.
