Truck Driver in Fatal California Crash Was Under Influence of Drugs
A truck driver, identified as 21-year-old Jashanpreet Singh, was charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of a drug causing injury.
The chain-reaction crash occurred on Interstate 10 in Ontario, California, and resulted in the deaths of three people.
Singh is in the United States illegally, and an immigration detainer has been placed on him, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
