Local organizations collaborate over shared mission at No Kings protest

Local Organizations Unite at No Kings Protest

Over two dozen state-based organizations collaborated in Boston's second No Kings protest in Copley Square, joining a larger series of nationwide protests against the Trump administration.

Groups with diverse focus areas, including climate activists and immigrant rights organizers, gathered to address social, economic, and environmental issues.

Protests like this are important because it sends a signal to the people we are protesting that we will not sit back quietly and let democracy be undermined.

The primary organizers, Mass 50501, the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts, and Indivisible Mass Coalition, set up "action tables" to help people sustain activism beyond the event, according to Rebecca Winter, executive director of Mass 50501.

Rahsaan Hall, the protest's emcee and president of the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts, emphasized the importance of such protests.
