Terrifying simulation shows how surgeon managed to 'brand' his initials on patient's organ with laser

Terrifying Simulation of Surgeon's Actions

A surgeon was struck off after using a laser to "brand" his initials onto a patient's organ.

On August 21, 2013, a woman in need of a liver transplant was on the operating table, and the procedure proved more complicated than initially hoped.

Her surgeon, Simon Bramhall, connected the new liver, but it failed to function properly until he identified the problem - a small tear on the connecting artery.

Bramhall, an experienced surgeon, had previously made headlines in 2010 for saving a patient's life with a transplant using a liver that had been in a plane crash.

He claimed he knew other people who had done similar actions.
