Phil Finds Joy in Cafe Venture at Kennaugh's
After a helicopter accident led to early retirement, Phil Kennaugh found it difficult to accept the change from an active to idle life.
Phil previously managed O'Connors in Echuca, working long hours, and being at home was challenging for him.
"I was just going half-crazy at home,"he said.
- His carer, Narelle Woodgate, was looking for a peaceful venue for independent support workers to bring their clients to.
- Kennaugh's Garden Centre, owned by Phil's brother Gavan, had a vacant cafe space since the COVID-19 shutdown.
Phil suggested reviving the space for Ms Woodgate's clients, which she accepted enthusiastically.
