Newsom Considers White House Bid
California Governor Gavin Newsom has been hinting at a presidential run for months. In a recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning's Robert Costa, Newsom stated,
Yeah, I'd be lying otherwise, when asked if he was giving serious thought to a White House bid.
Newsom, a two-term Democrat, added,
I'd just be lying, and I'm not — I can't do that. He believes
Fate will determine thatregarding his potential 2028 presidential run.
