Suspect in Charlie Kirk Killing Allowed to Wear Street Clothes in Court
A Utah judge has ruled that Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old man charged with killing Charlie Kirk, can appear in court wearing street clothes, but must be physically restrained due to security concerns.
Attorneys for Robinson argued that images of him in jail clothing and shackles could prejudice future jurors, given the "extraordinary" public and media attention the case has drawn.
Robinson shall be dressed as one who is presumed innocent," said Judge Tony Graf during a virtual court hearing.
