Chirico violated the Code of Conduct, says Integrity Commissioner on Mayor’s spending

Mayor's Spending Under Scrutiny

The City of North Bay has released a report by the Integrity Commissioner, finding Mayor Peter Chirico in breach of the City's Code of Conduct.

I want to be clear: All expenses detailed in the report were claimed transparently, and any personal expenses have been repaid in full. When I used the City credit card for personal expenses, it was always understood that they would be reimbursed.

The report, prepared by Integrity Commissioner Guy Giorno, identifies $5,557.77 in expenses as violating the Code of Conduct, out of a total of $17,253.01 that the Mayor claims have been reimbursed.

Author's summary: Mayor's spending under scrutiny after report finds Code of Conduct breach.
