In the Torres Strait, near Badu Island, a group of friends, including Dennis Fay, a former Australian Army soldier, are making a difference. They upload videos of their spearfishing adventures to YouTube, wearing monkey masks and sharing their world with others.
“Because the Torres Strait sits between two large land masses [Australia and Papua New Guinea], it acts like a funnel,”
Dennis says, highlighting the issue of debris, including glass, plastics, and ghost fishing nets, that litters every beach in the archipelago.
