Arkema has completed a €40 million decarbonization project at its Lacq Mourenx site, advancing the site's strategic initiative for a sustainable future.
The TREFLe Project includes a treatment plant for sulfur-based effluents, reducing SO2 emissions by 40% and GHG emissions by over 10%, in addition to a 28% reduction achieved in 2022.
The new process will produce sulfuric acid for use as a raw material by other industrial sites, reflecting the Group's circular economy approach.
The project marks a significant step in the decarbonization of the Lacq Mourenx site.
