Nikola Topic Diagnosed with Testicular Cancer
The Oklahoma City Thunder announced that Serbian guard Nikola Topic has been diagnosed with testicular cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.
Topic, a 19-year-old draft pick from 2024, began treatment recently, and his medical team reports a very positive outlook.
“The biopsy confirmed that is the case,”
Thunder president Sam Presti stated, noting that Topic has a team of optimistic oncologists at OU and MD Anderson.
Presti explained that Topic chose to wait until after starting treatment to make the news public.
