An Auxiliary Constable with the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service has been suspended from his job and charged with several traffic and fraud offences.
He was stopped by police for a traffic breach, and officers discovered he was driving without insurance or a valid certificate of roadworthiness and an expired registration.
The man was stopped in July by officers on mobile patrol, who noted irregularities with his documents and conducted enquiries, leading to the discovery of the offences.
He produced what appeared to be altered documents, leading to further investigations with a local insurance company.
