Pharmaceutical Giants Invest in Virginia Pharma Training

AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, and Merck have committed $120 million to develop an advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing training center in Central Virginia.

According to a memorandum of understanding signed by the companies and state entities, the training center will support the development of a skilled workforce for the pharmaceutical industry.

The companies, each of which is planning to build manufacturing facilities in Virginia, have partnered with the state government, including the Virginia Innovation Partnership Corp.
