The Galway Rape Crisis Centre provides free and confidential support to survivors of sexual violence and abuse.
The centre officially opened its new building in The Claddagh, Galway, with the Mayor of Galway, Councillor Mike Cubbard, and the Minister for Justice, Jim O’Callaghan, in attendance.
Founded in 1984, the Galway Rape Crisis Centre offers support to survivors across Galway and the western region.
The move to a permanent home represents stability for the organisation and a place of safety and dignity for those who need its services.
The new building was made possible through a combination of public funding, private donations, pro bono work, and community support.
