NAACP and Advancement Project Sue Virginia
National civil rights organization Advancement Project and the NAACP Virginia State Conference filed a lawsuit against the Virginia Department of Elections on October 31.
The lawsuit claims that the Virginia Department of Elections unlawfully disenfranchised college and university students, including those attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
College and university students are being disenfranchised.
The lawsuit was filed to protect the voting rights of students in Virginia.
