Greece to Establish New Drone School for the Armed Forces
Greece's Defense Minister Nikos Dendias announced the founding of a Drone and Anti-Drone Training School in Tripoli, a key part of the government's "Agenda 2030" to integrate autonomous aerial vehicles (UAVs) and counter-drone systems into the Greek Armed Forces.
Dendias stated that the modernization is essential for national survival, necessitating strong alliances and robust military forces. He emphasized the need to address past failures to defend sovereignty with courage and national unity.
The Minister predicted the new school would transform Tripoli from a traditional training facility into a center of advanced technological capability that will also stimulate the local economy.
The establishment of the school is expected to play a significant role in the country's military modernization, as outlined by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
