Ukraine Rescues 23 Children from Occupied Territories

As part of President Volodymyr Zelensky's Bring Kids Back UA initiative, 23 Ukrainian children and teenagers have been rescued from Russian-occupied territories.

According to Ukrinform, Head of the Presidential Office Andrii Yermak reported on Telegram that the rescued children include two sisters, aged 11 and 14, who were forced to attend a Russian school, and a teenager who was coerced into obtaining a Russian passport but refused to attend a Russian school.

A small girl and her mother were also rescued after being denied permission to leave the occupied area due to a relative serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and had lived under constant pressure without official documents.

“Today, all the rescued children are safe.”

The rescue is a result of the efforts of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, aiming to bring back Ukrainian children from temporarily occupied territories.
