Defection of Enugu State Governor to APC
Peter Mbah, the Governor of Enugu State, is set to formally defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) today.
According to reports, Mbah will be joined by members of the House of Assembly, council chairmen, councillors, and other appointees in his defection.
APC Delegation
A powerful APC delegation, led by Vice President Kashim Shettima, is expected to present the APC flag to the governor. The delegation includes:
- Nentawe Yilwatda, APC National Chairman
- Godswill Akpabio, Senate President
- Abbas Tajudeen, Speaker of the House of Representatives
Additionally, Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, is also expected to defect from the PDP in the coming days, with his defection reportedly already finalized.
No official statement has been released by the affected parties.
