Cardinal Parolin on St. Carlo Acutis
Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Vatican Secretary of State, celebrated a Mass marking the first liturgical memorial of St. Carlo Acutis.
Many when they see his picture are touched by his smile: Carlo spoke of Jesus above all with his radiant, luminous, and smiling face.
Carlo Acutis was canonized by Pope Francis on October 10, 2020, and passed away in 2006 at the age of 15 due to fulminant leukemia.
- Carlo Acutis rests in a glass case on the side of the nave of the Mary Major Church in Assisi.
- The Mass was celebrated at the Shrine of the Renunciation (Santuario della Spogliazione) on October 12.
