Mayo FC to Benefit from Budget 2026
Mayo FC has been allocated two full-time staff, with roles yet to be specified, following the Budget 2026 announcement.
The club will recruit two full-time personnel to contribute to its future growth, as part of the allocations to Irish soccer.
- Previously, 10 full-time staff were employed across 26 academies in Ireland.
- The new announcement will increase this number to over 60 full-time roles.
Following Brexit, Irish players are having to wait until they are 18 to make the move to England to play the game, and this announcement will help towards the development of players here at home.
Mayo FC Chairman, Joe Faughnan, has welcomed the news, suspecting the roles will be filled by an Academy Manager and Director of Coaching.
