Younger U.S. Priests Remain More Conservative than Older Priests, Survey Says
A 2025 survey reaffirms a generational divide in political views among Catholic priests in the United States, with younger priests being more conservative.
The National Study of Catholic Priests, conducted by Gallup and commissioned by The Catholic Project at The Catholic University of America, shows that
51% of priests ordained in 2010 or later said their political views are either conservative or very conservative.
