ADB Supports Uzbekistan’s Economic Transformation and Global Trade Integration
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $500 million policy-based loan to support the Government of Uzbekistan.
The loan aims to strengthen public sector efficiency, advance economic governance, and accelerate the country’s integration into the global economy.
Economic Management Improvement Program (Phase 2)
The program builds on earlier reform efforts, supporting institutional measures to:
- improve fiscal transparency
- modernize the governance of state-owned enterprises (SOEs)
- foster a more competitive, inclusive, and resilient economic environment
The program is aligned with international standards and reflects Uzbekistan’s commitment to deepening its market-based transformation.
