Waiver Wire Goalie Pickup to Make Maple Leafs Debut
The Toronto Maple Leafs will have a new goalie in net when they host the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night. Cayden Primeau will make his first start for the team, as confirmed by head coach Craig Berube.
Primeau was claimed off waivers by the Maple Leafs during the preseason and has been serving as the backup to Anthony Stolarz. With Joseph Woll on! indefinite leave, the team needed additional support, and Primeau was seen as a better option than James Reimer.
