Welsh Government Revives £100m Llandeilo Bypass Plan

The Welsh Government has confirmed the £100m Llandeilo bypass project in the National Transport Delivery Plan.

A new route will be built to divert traffic away from the congested centre of Llandeilo and the A483 crossing through Ffairfach.

Contractors and consultants are invited to provide feedback on the delivery model.

An in-person briefing will be held on 27 October, followed by a supplier questionnaire due 10 November.

The construction contract is expected to go out to tender in February 2026, with works starting by July 2026 and running through to early 2031.

Arcadis is managing the engagement process on behalf of the Welsh Government.
