Two Men Held in Torrevieja Hashish Bust
Two men have been arrested in Torrevieja after Guardia Civil officers found more than 800 grams of hashish hidden in their car during a routine checkpoint.
The pair, aged 43 and 44, were stopped in the early hours of 31 August when police carried out a roadside inspection on one of the town’s main avenues.
Officers said both men appeared “extremely nervous” as the vehicle was pulled over. During the search, one of the suspects was seen trying to conceal a bag down his trousers.
Inside, officers discovered 80 pellets of compressed hashish, weighing a total of 821 grams, along with €500 in cash.
