Neighbours ‘finally able to sleep’ after Lincs flat shut down

Lincolnshire Flat Shut Down Due to Drug-Related Issues

A flat in Trinity Court, Gainsborough, has been boarded up and banned from entry for three months due to its connection to drug-related activities.

According to Inspector Michael Head, who leads Gainsborough's Neighbourhood Policing Team, closure orders are becoming an effective tool in dealing with problem homes.

"We've started using them more often – it's the best way to target drug-related issues and give neighbours a bit of respite,"

This is the third property in Trinity Court to receive a closure order in the last 18 months, all of which are related to drug issues that impact residents' quality of life.

Residents are now able to sleep peacefully after the shutdown of the problematic flat.
